Shaminder is a retired senior Post Sixteen educationalist. Her expertise lies in improving Sixth Form provision and she was one of the team which set up the outstanding Sixth Form College Suffolk One. She was recently the Deputy Director of Barnet and Southgate College leading the A Level, Science, Creative arts and Digital Technology Directorate. Shaminder has extensive experience in working with executive teams to design and implement college vision, strategic plans, policies and procedures and has expertise in qualifications ranging from Level 1 to Degree Level. Shaminder is also a specialist in implementing the use of value added to drive up success. She is passionate about education and ensuring every student in the ONE Multi Academies Trust family excels, is what brings her the greatest joy and satisfaction.

Manmeet Singh is an accomplished Chief Risk and Compliance Officer with a progressive career spanning over 30 years specialising in risk, governance and compliance (GRC) in highly regulated financial services industry. He has a consistent track record in developing robust risk management frameworks, maintaining effective governance structures, embedding industry and firm specific compliance policies and processes, and ensuring ongoing alignment with regulatory bodies.

Manmeet was instrumental in establishing the risk and compliance function for British Business Bank which was transitioned from the Department of Business Innovation and Skills in 2015 and was responsible for spearheading transition from OFT to FCA for BNP LS. Before moving over to GRC expertise, he was the Group Financial Controller for a Telecom Group.

Susan Jackson MA has over 30 years experience in education. She was a teacher, administrator, and three times School Principal (UK, Argentina, France), before establishing her consultancy. Susan has been a UK Ofsted Inspector of Schools for 15 years, and a Lead Inspector of Free Schools, Studio Schools, University Technical Colleges (UTC) and Academy conversions. She was selected by the British Cabinet Office for appointment to Public Bodies in 1992 and by the Department for Education for service on public bodies in 1993.

For over 25 years Susan has been an Examiner for the IB (International Baccalaureate). She has been a research fellow at the University of Bristol and was chosen to lead the Independent / International Schools’ Initiative at the National Development Centre for Educational Management and Policy. Susan is a Governor of an “outstanding” (OFSTED) State school in London, and of an “excellent” (ISI) girls’ independent school in Harrogate. She sits on the Management Committee of Caius House, the charitable mission established by Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge. Susan also has assumed responsibility as the safeguarding lead governor of two schools. Susan assumed full responsibility for the project management of 3 conversions: Pimlico Academy, Drapers’ Academy and The Samworth Enterprise Academy. Susan is the Vice Chair of Trustees and the safeguarding lead for the Trust.

Amrit S Maan, from a fifth-generation British Sikh family that settled in the UK in 1936, is a multi-faceted individual with diverse business interests and a unique background in law and business management consultancy.

Over 24 years of post-qualified experience in law, Amrit serves as a specialist solicitor, offering pro bono legal services to victims of crime and traumatic events. He is a passionate advocate for social justice, particularly focusing on women’s rights and empowerment.

Amrit actively promotes awareness of the UK’s equality, inclusion, and diversity agenda, supporting Sikh and Punjabi networks such as Cambridge University Sikh Society, Home Office Sikh Association, Metropolitan Sikh Association, and UK Punjab Heritage Association.

As an ambassador for the Sharan Project, a UK-based charity supporting vulnerable women, especially of South Asian origin, facing disownment due to abuse or persecution, Amrit contributes to making a positive impact.

Managing Director of the historic Punjab Covent Garden, the UK’s first Punjabi Indian Restaurant founded by his great-grandfather in 1946, Amrit is deeply rooted in preserving family history and heritage. With accolades such as winning the 2001 Oxford University Venturefest Business Plan Competition, an MBA from Cranfield University, and pursuing a Ph.D. specialising in the saloks composed by Guru Tegh Bahadur Devi Ji, Amrit combines academic achievement with active involvement in various educational, heritage, and charity boards and trusts. Recognised for his contributions, he was awarded an OBE for services to communities and charities in the 2022 New Year’s Honours list.

Kanwarpreet is a qualified actuary and a maths and statistics graduate from the University of Bristol. He has over 35 years of experience in financial services and insurance, holding senior management and board roles in various companies. Harbhajan has over 37 years’ experience in the field of Human Resources and has been a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development for over 27 years.

Prior to joining Imperial Harbhajan has held a number Director roles including at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust; Sodexo UK; the Department of Health; Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals; NHS Trust; Kingston Hospital and at Lewisham College.

Harbhajan has also worked as Research Fellow at the Centre for Research in Ethnic Relations (CRER) based at Warwick University, where he taught on their ‘MA in Race and Ethnic relations’. Harbhajan has also researched and written several articles in the field of equal opportunities, including coauthoring the following research studies; ‘Ealing’s Dilemma - Implementing Race Equality’; ‘Invisible Minorities - Racism in New Towns and New Contexts’ and ‘Race Equality and the Local State’.

Harbhajan has served on the Policy Boards of NHS Employers and NHS Professionals.

Harbhajan was a Trustee and Chair of DAAP (Drugs and Alcohol Project) and a Trustee of the Sodexo Foundation.

Harbhajan also serves as a Justice of Peace (JP) and also volunteers when able with Nishkam SWAT.

I was always bought up with the concept of doing ‘seva’ and I always try to give back to the communities in which I work and where I serve and as such I have always tried to take on volunteering roles that align with my values.

Sarah is Chief Executive of Inspiration for All, a not for profit social enterprise that harnesses the capabilities of business leaders to work with leaders in education to advance social mobility together.

Originally a maths teacher, Sarah moved into educational publishing, creating market leading content, assessment and digital solutions. More recently Sarah led on efficacy across Pearson’s English Language Learning and Global Schools businesses, working with governments, school chains, and product teams to improve outcomes for learners. Using this experience as an Impact Consultant, Sarah supports educational and other purpose-led organisations to articulate, implement and measure their impact.

Sarah is also a trustee at One Degree Mentoring, a charity that focuses on raising aspirations and attainment of underachieving teenagers, and an experienced Governor in London schools with a focus on improving outcomes.
