Governance Professional

Salary details: £28,000 - £32,000 (Scale point 13- 21)  (fulltime equivalent)

Contract: 3 days a week

Join ONE Multi Academies Trust as a Governance Professional and play a key role in shaping effective, strategic leadership across our Trust.

We are seeking a skilled and proactive individual to support and strengthen governance across the organisation. This pivotal role involves working closely with the CEO, Chair of Trustees, Central Leadership Team, and our Board to ensure governance compliance, drive best practice, and support key organisational priorities.

About the Role

As Governance Professional, you will:

  • Oversee governance effectiveness and statutory compliance
  • Clerk Trust Board and committee meetings
  • Support strategic planning, risk management, and policy development
  • Provide expert guidance to Trustees and governance stakeholders
  • Lead governance training and development across the Trust
  • Manage governance documentation and maintain records with Companies House and DfE
  • Promote inclusive and effective governance recruitment and induction

What We’re Looking For

  • Have a strong understanding of governance in education or public sector settings
  • Are detail-oriented, highly organised, and confident managing complex information
  • Possess excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Can maintain professionalism and independence while working collaboratively
  • Are experienced in policy writing, compliance tracking, and risk monitoring
